What are their differences? It is easy to get patisseries and viennoiseries mixed up. However, they boast vastly different textures and baking methods. Patisseries can be sweet or savory and do not require yeast, while viennoiseries use active levain, are slightly sweet, and need a ton of butter to form flaky layers.

  5. Yummm! I would love pain au chocolat please, especially for 1 euro.
    It seems like the bakeries here want to charge 5 dollars for one croissant or pain au chocolat.
