French la Vie

French la Vie: Another way to experience France is to join us in antiquing.

My friend Nelly, a favorite antique dealer of mine, and Chelsea, the new be.

We are on our second day of the French la Vie, and everyone is happy with their brocante finds.

I will write more after the week together, but here are some notes and photos for now.

French la vie, another way to see France

We had an incredible lunch with my friend Nina, chef extraordinaire!

Soft-boiled egg with fresh truffle cream and asparagus.

A hoomemade chard and spinach lasagna. Nina’s pasta was paper-thin divine! Every bite was a wonder of taste.

We went antiquing.

Paintings greeted us

And we carried plenty home.

Tell me, if you could have a spoonful of anything, what would it be?

I will randomly pick one of your comments and send a little silver  spoon to one of you xxx

So much fun! Great places to dig and seek those all important treasures! My spoon full would be my Grandmothers asparagus…it was so tasty! I did not get that secret ingrediant that made it the best. It could have just been her! Blessings

“A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down” popped into my head!

A posey holder? Well done Colleen! I didn’t know such a thing existed. 😉

  7. A spoonful of kindness to sprinkle on the world.

I’d have a spoonful of peace that expanded to everywhere in the world.

  13. Jeannine

I would take a heaping spoonful of world peace, ending child hunger and more peace on top🩷

    A spoonful, how delightful.
When I was growing up and into life with children we had a favorite place to eat Mexican food. I loved it, my children loved it and we discovered at Christmas time a few years ago that it had an unannounced closing. We were devastated! I would so love one more spoonful of their delicious salsa! Might be an odd choice, but it was such a huge part of our eating out heritage.

  16. A spoonful of just living peacefully without the need to worry about expenses and others .

  17. Ok. True confession time. When I get a hankering for chocolate, it consumes me. And there is simply nothing more satisfying to me than chocolate mocha buttercream. So I will make a small amount of buttercream and devour it with a nice spoon, one bite at a time. Hence, my “spoonful of sugar” would be chocolate mocha buttercream or frosting as we call it. Yum-o!

I’d be over the moon with a spoonful of rich mushroom soup. Yum 😋 🥄
