May life for you, Little Ones, forever be a sense of wonder and all how lucky you are to be born in a safe place of fruitful place a place where you can grow with liberty without fear.
Yet it is impossible to ignore the harsh reality how unjust and cruel the world can be so many children like yourselves are born, not into safety, but into chaos and suffering through no fault of their own they did nothing wrong, but to be born in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This is a bitter truth that weighs heavily on my heart to witness the atrocities unfolding the places like Gaza innocence is shattered and hope feels like a distant dream. It is uncomfortable, even unbearable to sit in silence and bear witness to this suffering, knowing that far too many will never know the peace and freedom that you do.
No matter where we were born, the color of our skin, or the religion we practice, we must live with tremendous love, forgiveness, courage, and grace. We must share, give, and be. We are called to be the voice, the helping hand, standing up and speaking out for what is right, good, and holy—for everyone.
Make me a channel of your peace, and may I guide my grandchildren to live such a life.
