Aside from my allergies…it’s a happy day when the first blossoms on fruit trees announce Spring. Streets lined with pink and white blossomed trees look like a bridal party. Bees hover over the purple blooms on my rosemary and they love the loquat’s cream blossoms. This will be a great year for loquats. The tree produces more fruit than we can eat so we share our bounty. My husband’s cardiologist makes cardamom flavored loquat jam and shares with us.
