The Season Begins for the French la Vie

After nearly 10 years of offering this one-of-a-kind journey through the brocante, the season is starting up tomorrow—and it runs through November.

For those of you looking to experience Provence in a way that’s intimate and real, tag along as we venture to my favorite places. I’ve lived here for 37 years, and over that time, I’ve come to know this place. It’s not about seeing the usual sights—it’s about going behind the facade, walking through brocante markets, and discovering those corners that most people miss.

It’s a journey that goes beyond just shopping for antiques. It’s about being in a place that allows you to see things differently. Where the details feel alive with inspiration. I hope one day you’ll join me and experience it for yourself.

You’ll leave with more than antiques—you’ll leave with a sense of Provence, stitched into your memories, and I promise it’s something you’ll carry with you long after the week is over.

One of the highlights is visiting the private homes of antique dealers, where you can see how they bring the beauty of Provence into their everyday lives.

A French brocante is a gathering of timeworn objects, each with a simple beauty that speaks of its past. It’s where you find antiques, old furniture, and little curiosities, with a rich history tucked into their grains and textures. In a brocante, everything has a soul, waiting to be rediscovered.

The French la Vie journeys start tomorrow, and I have one spot left for 2025 due to a cancellation. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now’s your chance. We’ll be setting the dates for 2026 very soon, so if you’re interested, get in touch—I’d love to have you with us.

I’m so excited to be stepping back into the brocante with you.
With my new blog format, I’m finally able to share more stories and photos—believe me, the brocante and markets are full of both. I can’t wait to bring you along.

Is anything purchased in France subject to the new tariffs burdening the world from Mr. Trump? How can it be sent without large taxes? Thanks.

I’m on my first coffee this morning and at first I thought that statue in the last photo was a nude woman at the brocante. I did a double take!
