« One Easter photo please? » I asked the Pickles.
Sometimes—no, often—the photo I have in mind to take of my grandchildren is not at all what they have in mind, and nothing I say is going to make it happen. Which, in the grand scheme of things, is absolutely nothing—and doesn’t matter compared to the bigger picture of what I’d like to change in the world.

So instead of begging, bribing, or pulling some sort of rabbit out of a hat, I let it be and take the photo that’s in front of me.

I wanted Gabriel to wear something other than his Paw Patrol T-shirt. Instead, I got one photo of him in Paw Patrol—and another of him as a bird… see his beak?

The best Easter photo is the one that has memory.
